African Pride: Africa Is The Futre T-Shirts

I just saw this shirt and now I have to have one. Being that I am African specifically Nigerian (Edo and Fulani), I feel that I am blessed to have such a rich and fascinated culture. My mother comes from a very privileged background while my father came from more humble beginnings. And because I have been exposed to both sides I understand the philosophy of the type of environment my parents grew up around and I think that is why I'm so proud of anything related to Africa (specifically Nigeria). So for the Africans out there be proud and represent by geting a t-shrit at http://www.africaisthefuture.com/.

Luvin This: Dan Black ft. Kid Cudi Symphonies

I've had the original version of the song on my iTunes for quite some time but I am absolutely loving the remix that Kid Cudi did for the song which was suppose to orginally have B.I.G's Hypnotize lyrics on it. But because of that sampling not being approved by B.I.G's mother Dan had to quickly come up with lyrics to record and out of that ccame this song which has the same drums as the Rihanna song Umbrella (not that much of a fan of hers). So enjoy!

The Hopeful Intern

I am trying to get some kind of internship this summer to keep me occupied on my craft which is graphic design. Every year I would usually find something to do but this year I'm not so sure because in the area I live in there isn't much media to get into unless you want to write in a local new paper. So I think that I'm going to try and convince my parents to let me intern in New York or downtown Toronto. I live about 30-1 hr. away from it so it should not be a problem. I don't need to even get paid but to just continue learning more about graphic design. So now it's time to job intern hunt for something relating to that field.

I'm Not Sure

When ever I get get up in watching LA Ink I suddenly feel the urge to get a tattoo but I always end up scared because of my fear of needles. But after having a conversation about how my great grandfather had a tribal chief tattoo because thats what he was back in Nigeria. So hearing the description from my mother and understanding the meaning behind it I feel that if I was to get a tattoo I would definately get it. I'm going to have to wait to go to the U.K. to get some vintage photos of him from my him to mimick the same markings for when I might get the tattoos. And since there are absolutely no photos on the web showing an example of what I mean I will show mine when I eventually get them.

Luvin Africana !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After about a year of viewing theie first issue online I have been obsessed with POP AFRICANA. The reason mostly has to do with a fashionable, modern, and pleasing to all that are open to a blend of african culture with high- end visual results. Oroma Elewa (the master mind behind it all) has been hustling for a while to show the world that Africans can produce work of art that is at the level of other magazines, but think she and her great crew of workers have already surpassed it. And being a girl of Nigerian descent into art, design, and fashion it is great to see this generation making some noise.

Alexander McQueen has Died 1969 - 2010

Alexander Mcqueen, has passed away from what appears to be death by hanging. And eventhough the official reason for his death has not been confirmed it is still a huge upset within the fashion industry; especially with New York Fashion Week just starting now.
